9-Week Journey: Exploring the C’s of Inner Wellness

Explore. Create. Connect. Grow.

Join me for a 9-week journey into the heart of Self-Energy, using SoulCollage® as our guide.

Join a group of like-minded individuals to help inspire you to put these energies into action!

Each week, we will focus on one of the C's — Calm, Compassion, Curiosity, Creativity, Confidence, Clarity, and Connection — welcoming these energies more fully into our lives through creative exploration, imagery, and reflection.

This is a spiritual and wellness group focused on personal growth and self-discovery.
Please note this is not meant to be a therapy group.

What is SoulCollage®?

SoulCollage® is a creative, intuitive process developed by Seena Frost that invites you to explore your inner world through imagery, symbolism, and personal meaning. Developed in the 1980s and 1990s, SoulCollage® blends psychotherapy, spirituality, and creativity into a rich accessible practice for self-discovery and growth.

Through gathering images and assembling 5x8 collage cards, you intuitively create a personal deck that reflects the many aspects of yourself — your inner parts, your relationships, your dreams, and the greater archetypal forces that influence your life.

It is not art therapy, vision boarding, or tarot or oracle reading. But those are all great things! But SoulCollage is different.

While it is creative, SoulCollage® is about trusting your inner wisdom, accessing your subconscious, and letting your authentic self speak through imagery, interacting with the card, and imagination. You don’t need any artistic talent to do SoulCollage®, just openness, curiosity, and a willingness to listen in new ways.

The Four Suits of SoulCollage®
  • Committee Suit: Represents your inner voices or parts — like the Inner Critic, the Nurturer, the Protector, or the Creative Self.

  • Community Suit: Honors people, animals, mentors, and groups who have influenced or supported your life journey.

  • Companion Suit: Connects your physical and energetic self, aligning each chakra with an intuitive animal guide.

  • Council Suit: Represents universal archetypes and spiritual energies, such as the Healer, the Warrior, the Sage, or the Seeker.

How SoulCollage® Works

Gathering Images
The process begins by intuitively collecting images — from magazines, online sources, or personal photos — letting your intuition guide you.

Creating Your Cards
You’ll layer and arrange the images onto 5x8 cards, creating visual expressions of your inner landscape.

Exploring and Reflecting on Your Cards. Through guided journaling prompts and intuitive writing practices like "I am the one who...," you will give voice to the wisdom held within each card.

Engaging With Your Deck
Over time, your deck becomes a personal source of guidance, insight, and emotional connection, helping you navigate life’s changes and deepen your relationship with yourself.

What We’ll Do in Class

Check in

Each session will begin with a brief check-in, where you will be invited to reflect on the past week, share what you have noticed about the theme in your daily life, and offer any insights or experiences you would like to share with the group.

Guided Meditation or Thoughtful Reflections
Each session opens with a calming meditation, which connects you with your deeper self and invites inspiration for the card-making process.

Creating Your Cards

Each week, you’ll have time and space to create one SoulCollage® card that reflects the theme we are exploring. You will select your background, choose images that speak to you, and arrange them in a way that feels right for your card’s story. This is your personal creative process, as your card reflects your experience with the theme, capturing feelings, insights, and inspirations in visual form.

Journaling Prompts
After creating your card, you will receive a few journaling prompts to help you connect more deeply with the imagery and meaning that have surfaced. You’ll have a few minutes to reflect and write in your journal or notebook, allowing new insights, feelings, and connections to emerge through the process..

Sharing and Reflection.

At the end of each session, each person will have time to share reflections or their card with the group. You are encouraged to share comfortably, knowing that this shared connection creates a supportive and meaningful community experience.  What makes this group unique is that Community creates a space where we can witness each other’s journeys, spark new insights, and feel connected as we each explore our own inner world. Being part of a supportive circle deepens the experience and reminds us that we are never alone in our growth. There is NO advice giving, only holding space.

What to Bring
  • A small collection of images or magazines: You don't need to have everything cut out ahead of time. Gather a stack of magazines, printed photos, purchased image packs, or anything that catches your eye. A variety nearby gives your intuition room to guide you during card creation.

  • Scissors and glue stick  (a link to a good one for SoulCollage).

  • A sturdy base for your cards: 5x8-inch cardstock (watercolor paper), mat board, or pre-cut SoulCollage® cards.

  • A journal or notebook for the journaling prompts and reflections.

  • An open mind and willingness to explore your creative process in new ways.

If you want to purchase blank cards, cardstock or SoulCollage® supplies are available online (for example: 5x8 cardstock blanks on Amazon).

What to Expect

This is a relaxed, welcoming, creative space where you are encouraged to follow your intuition and explore freely.
Each session, you will create or begin creating one meaningful card based on the week’s theme.

These cards are more than individual pieces they will become part of your developing SoulCollage® deck.

In SoulCollage®, you interact with your deck often. It’s not something you create once and set aside, and it’s different from a vision board that stays static on the wall.

Your deck becomes a living tool for reflection, insight, and connection.
You can ask a question, draw a card, respond to a journal prompt, and use the images you created to tap into your subconscious wisdom and deeper desires. Through this process, you are building a personal oracle—a creative and evolving map of your inner world that helps you connect to your thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a new and powerful way.

Group Energy and Expectations

This group provides a supportive and nurturing space for creative exploration, reflection, and shared growth.
Participants are encouraged to hold space for others with kindness, emotional steadiness, and respect. This space is dedicated to spiritual wellness, creativity, and personal reflection. While we collectively support and encourage one another, we honor each person's journey by holding space without offering advice or opinions about each other’s cards or life experiences.

How to Gather Images for SoulCollage®

Buy Printed Images:

  • Etsy: Search Soul Collage for curated image packs.
    https://www.etsy.com/market/soulcollage

  • Amazon: Purchase SoulCollage® image books by Catherine Anderson.

  • eBay: Buy old used National Geographic magazines (great for rich photography and symbolism).
(I personally did this and found it so helpful to build a good image collection.)

Download Free Digital Images:

If you prefer to print your images, here are free, high-quality websites for personal use:

Tip for Searching:

When looking for images online, try using emotional or symbolic keywords like:
"serenity," "freedom," "strength," "light," "wisdom," "joy," "growth," etc.
Let the energy of the word guide your image choices intuitively.

How Many Images Should You Gather?
  • Per Card: Plan for about 4–10 images, depending on your layering and design.

  • Total to Start: Gather at least 20–30 images to have plenty of options during the creative process.

Personal Tip:
If you have a color printer, you can search on the spot at Pixabay or other sites while making your cards and print exactly what you need.

However, it’s helpful to start building a collection in advance, so you have a variety ready to inspire you.
I also recommend buying a starter bag of images (like from Etsy) and eBay for magazines — it’s worth the small investment!

Ideas for Gathering Images

You can find images for your SoulCollage® projects in all sorts of creative places:

  • Used Bookstores: Look for old books about nature, animals, space, weather, people, mystical symbols, or mythology — wonderful sources for unique imagery. I also did this and was very helpful too.

  • Magazines, Catalogs, and Brochures: Travel brochures, gardening catalogs, and lifestyle magazines often have vibrant, colorful visuals perfect for cutting out. Your local library may have old magazines!

  • Old Greeting Cards: Especially ones with beautiful artwork or meaningful quotes.

  • Calendars: Large, high-quality images that are easy to repurpose into powerful collage backgrounds.

  • Personal Photographs: Print your own meaningful photos — local stores like CVS or Walgreens offer affordable printing options.

  • Junk Mail: Sometimes advertisements and flyers have surprising colors, patterns, or textures that can be cut and layered creatively.

Tip:
With a little imagination, everyday materials can easily become your creative toolkit. Keep an open mind while gathering, sometimes the most unexpected items turn into the most meaningful parts of your cards!

Keeping your eyes open for images is also an opportunity to invite joy into your day - you're giving yourself a fun activity to enjoy throughout the day!
